Terms of use
These terms apply when you use tooloat.com. They are short because the service is simple: the tools are free, they run in your browser, and your files are not sent to us.
The service
Tooloat is a set of free tools for converting, compressing and editing files and data. The tools run in your web browser, on your own device. There is no account to create and nothing to pay.
We may add, change or remove tools at any time, and we do not promise that any tool will stay available or work in every browser.
Your files
Files you open in a tool are read and processed on your device. They are not uploaded to Tooloat, so we cannot see, keep or recover them. Keep a copy of your originals: if a result is not what you expected, the original is the only way back.
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to use them, for example the copyright of a photo or permission to edit a document.
Acceptable use
- Use the tools for lawful purposes only.
- Do not try to disrupt, overload or break into the site, its servers or other visitors' devices.
- Do not copy the site as a whole or present it as your own. The open source software it is built on keeps its own licenses, listed on the About page.
- Do not send spam or abuse through the feedback form.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. We work to make them accurate and reliable, but conversion, compression, text recognition and AI results can contain mistakes. Check a result before you rely on it, especially for documents with legal, medical or financial weight.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Tooloat is not liable for loss or damage that comes from using the site or from not being able to use it, including lost data, lost profits or damage to devices. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Advertising and other sites
Tooloat shows advertising from Google AdSense to pay for the site. Google and its partners may use cookies for this, as the Privacy page explains. Links to other websites are there for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date below shows the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about them can be sent to hello@tooloat.com.
